The Next 25 Years Maynard Institute program graduates and partners make up a family with a shared vision of how an inclusive approach to the news can help us all see and hear one another better. Together, we learn new ways to tell our stories, and discover new stories to tell. Never has this been more important than in our current Information Age, as the shape of journalism, the industry and the news itself are undergoing radical change. Journalists are being asked to deliver their stories in multimedia formats that are transforming the very nature of storytelling. Business managers are learning how to reach new audiences. In these heady times of the Internet and converging media, the Maynard Institute can serve as an anchor for a journalistic tradition of integrity deeply rooted in moral, ethical and fundamentally American values. Continuing to deliver Bob Maynard's message and Fault Lines framework can ensure that our progress results in news that helps all of us see ourselves whole. |
