Maynard Multimedia Editing Program 2011 graduate Michael Thompson has been hired as the new editor of the Juneau County Star-Times in Mauston, WI.
The University of Redlands, conferred its highest honor, the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Service Award, on Collin Tong, Maynard SPMJ grad '76, at its annual presidential convocation during Homecoming last month.
Congratulations to Mia Navarro (SPMJ '79), whose local environmental reporting for the New York Times was praised by the paper's ombudsman.

The Association of Opinion Journalists Foundation recently honored Prof. Michelle Johnson, Maynard Multimedia Editing faculty member, with the 2012 Barry Bingham Sr. Fellowship, recognizing Johnson for her work with diversity in journalism education.

Debbie Douglass is a Maynard Institute Multimedia Editing Program 2011 graduate. She will be hosting an art show to display over 100 of her original paintings.
