MIJE Offers Cross Media Training at San Diego 2002

Minneapolis, MN--The Maynard Institute is offering two-and-a-half days of convergence skills training June 15-17, 2002 at the Holiday Inn On the Bay in San Diego.

WHAT: Convergence has arrived. Learn to write, report, shoot and edit video and produce stories for print, broadcast and the web. This workshop offers storytelling strategies and technical training for those who are interested in using multimedia platforms to deliver the news. The workshop teaches the technical skills necessary to produce multimedia coverage. No Web skills required.

WHO: Reporters, editors, writers, producers and managers in print and broadcast who want to acquire multimedia skills. We will select 15 journalists who are registered to attend the the NAHJ and NAJA conventions in San Diego.

WHY: It's time to learn about convergence in an intensive, hands-on training session. Learn skills that will give you the edge in your newsroom.

FEE: Free to attendees of the NAHJ and NAJA convention. Sponsored by the McClatchy Company. Students are responsible for travel and hotel costs.
