Rosalynn Carter Fellowships for Mental Health JournalismPosted: March 14, 2008 Company/OrganizationThe Carter Center DescriptionThe Carter Center in Atlanta, GA provides six one-year fellowships for journalists to report on a selected topic regarding mental health or mental illnesses. The Fellowships are designed to increase accurate reporting on mental health issues and decrease incorrect, stereotypical information. Each journalist awarded will receive a $10,000 stipend. ResponsibilitiesQualificationsApplicants must have at least three years experience in print or electronic journalism, submit an application packet (packet found online), and attend orientation and presentation meetings in September at the beginning and end of the Fellowship year. Fellows will not be required to leave their current employment. The postmark deadline for applications is April 28, 2008.
